JAMP’s Student Success Seminar Series: Empowering the Whole Scholar
JAMP's five-part seminar series, in partnership with OnlineMedEd, provided scholars with strategies to support both academic success and personal growth.
Over the past 12 years, Texas has experienced an average annual population growth of 1.5%. With this ongoing increase in Texans, we are committed to enhancing the efficiency, speed, and user-friendliness of the TMDSAS and JAMP application service systems. This effort aims to expand the applicant pool for Texas healthcare positions.
This year, there has been a notable 6% increase in TMDSAS applicants from May to June compared to the previous year. To accommodate this growing applicant pool, TXHES has streamlined the new user account registration process into a straightforward three-step procedure using cutting-edge web development technologies. For returning applicants, we have implemented rapid and user-friendly methods to reset forgotten passwords, offering automated self-service options via email or a two-factor authentication service.
Our focus on operational efficiencies, adoption of advanced technologies, and response to the rising demand for healthcare professionals in Texas has resulted in a significantly improved user experience and a marked increase in account registrations this year. We remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring a seamless application process for our future healthcare professionals to better serve Texas' healthcare needs.

Todd Lang, JAMP Faculty Director at UNT, launched a care package initiative to help students start the semester strong. What began with basic supplies quickly expanded to address food insecurity and other student needs, offering items like non-perishable food, lab supplies, and hygiene products. Lang’s effort, supported by his team, reflects JAMP's mission to remove barriers and ensure students can focus on their studies and succeed in their journey to become healthcare professionals.
The pursuit of careers in healthcare continues to evolve as the latest Entry Year (EY) 2025 data highlights notable shifts in application and matriculation patterns across dental, medical, and veterinary schools. These changes reflect both the growing interest in these professions and subtle variations in academic benchmarks.
