According to the Senior Director of Admissions and Recruitment, Cyd Goldfarb, M.Ed., notable statistics about the inaugural class are:

  • 5% of the class are from border areas and West Texas
  • The class is comprised of 21 different universities
  • 40% of the class are from underrepresented groups
  • The class meets the average GPA and DAT score in Texas

What makes the Hunt SDM so attractive? Its initiative to provide students with hands-on experience earlier than most dental schools among other reasons.

Opinion: New Dental School, Student Clinic ‘a Big Deal’

The oral health clinic not only has the latest technology, but it also gives students the opportunity to serve in a region where dental care is difficult to access.
