How Interviews Will Be Hosted at Each Member Institution for EY2022

We polled the TMDSAS member institutions about how they will host interviews and any preview days (typically optional or by invitation only).

These responses were initially recorded in July 2021 and are subject to change at the discretion of each member institution at the recommendation of their admissions committee concerning the safety of all parties involved and respecting the integrity of the admissions process. 


Dental Schools

Texas A&M University College of Dentistry

Interviews will be virtual.
Outreach/previews are optional and may be hosted in-person later in the year


Texas Tech University Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine

Interviews will be in person.
Outreach/previews will be in person

The University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Dentistry

Interviews will be virtual.
Outreach/previews will be virtual

The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston

Interviews will be hybrid - choice of in person or virtual.
Outreach/previews will be hybrid - choice of in person or virtual





Medical Schools

Baylor College of Medicine

Interviews will be virtual.
All interviewees virtual then invite post interview for monthly in-person open house. 


Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio

Interviews will be virtual.
Outreach/previews will be in person for a casual, informal event


McGovern Medical School at UT Health Science Center Houston

Interviews will be virtual.
Outreach/previews will be hybrid - choice of in person or virtual


Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Interviews will be virtual.
Outreach/previews will be hybrid - choice of in person or virtual


Texas A&M University College of Medicine

Small Acts, Big Impact: Care Packages Help JAMP Scholars Thrive

Todd Lang, JAMP Faculty Director at UNT, launched a care package initiative to help students start the semester strong. What began with basic supplies quickly expanded to address food insecurity and other student needs, offering items like non-perishable food, lab supplies, and hygiene products. Lang’s effort, supported by his team, reflects JAMP's mission to remove barriers and ensure students can focus on their studies and succeed in their journey to become healthcare professionals.
